Gifts For Your Bridal Party |

Presenting a little gift or keepsake is a special way
to say thank you to those involved in your wedding, especially if
they helped with your plans or budget. But before you panic about
mounting bills and extra expenses, take a look at our handy list of
ideas ranging from homemade goodies to stylish trinkets.
When to present the presents?
Traditionally, both Mums are presented with a bouquet of flowers during
the groom's speech and it is a particularly nice touch if you each
hand over flowers to your new mother-in-law. This is also a good time
to hand out gifts to your attendants. However, you may prefer a more
private occasion prior to the wedding ceremony or even the night before.
- Bouquet of flowers or basket of perennials
- As fresh flowers tend to last for just a few days why not give
a Wedding Day rose to plant in the garden? Your mum will have
a living reminder of your special day and your feelings towards
her every year when it blooms
- A piece of jewellery
- Locket with a picture of you both or engraved with your names
and wedding date
- A delicate watch
- Photo
frame to display her favourite picture of your wedding
- Photo trees house a number of pictures. Why not give one containing
pictures of you from birth to your wedding day?
- China
figurines or collectables by Lladro or Royal Doulton to continue
or start off a collection
- Swarovski crystal makes a wonderful collectable gift. Some of
the more 'weddingy' items in the collection include flowers and
a beautiful oyster shell with a pearl
- Jewellery or trinket box
- Write out a poem or letter and frame it. One appropriate verse
is:
"As I walk down the aisle,
Don't think it's the end,
You're not losing a child but gaining a friend.
As I'm left at the altar,
There's a tear in your eye,
But happiness blinds me,
And I don't see you cry.
I want you to know,
Though my new life's begun,
That you still have your Daughter,
And now, a new Son."
